Emilija Terzić
Emilija Terzić is a poet, director, and visual artist. Creating art for her is a strategy for living, a way to connect with herself, other people, and the world around her. Her multimedia expression is a result of feeling out of place on planet Earth, an attempt to create her own world in which she feels like she belongs. She has exhibited at 15 group exhibitions, directed 13 music videos as the art director for musician Luka Rajić, and is writing her first poetry collection.

“Top 10 best places to cry” is a poetic list, a diaristic recollection of a crier looking back on a long career of crying. I have a tendency to remember my big cries, I collect them in my memories like concerts and big milestones. I remember people by how comfortable they were looking into my wet eyes and places by the amount of tears they have lured out of me. By mapping some of my most significant cries and the various feelings I felt around those events, I realise that through crying I experience the whole spectrum of belonging. Crying I have felt both complete oneness with my surroundings and complete alienation from my community. This duality is the pendulum on which I constantly swing when it comes to belonging.
