Chloe Stead is a Berlin-based art critic and assistant editor of frieze. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Artnet, frieze, Mousse and Spike Art Magazine. She also regularly contributes to artist monographs and has taken part in or moderated talks at Damien & the Love Guru, Brussels; Vienna Contemporary; Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin; Kunstverein Hamburger Banhof, Hamburg; and Migros Museum, Zurich.

Additionally, she has given workshops and talks at Goldsmiths University of London, the University of Fine Arts Hamburg, University of Art and Design Linz and Berlin University of the Arts.
