SUPERMARKET – Stockholm Independent Art Fair, Stockholm
SUPERMARKET – Stockholm Independent Art Fair is an international art fair for artist-run initiatives. Supermarket is dedicated to exhibiting artist-run spaces, artists’ collectives, nomadic spaces and independent artists’ initiatives of all shapes and from around the world. The key aim is to display unique projects, create opportunities for new local and international networks and share the strengths of the independent art world with a large audience. The art fair exhibition is accompanied by the public Talks and Performance programme with invited performance artists and speakers from Sweden and abroad. Supermarket takes place annually in Stockholm, Sweden.
Alice Máselníková creative director at Supermarket art fair. Alice is a Czech visual artist based in Stockholm. She is one of the three creative directors of Supermarket – Stockholm Independent Art Fair, founder of the artist-run initiative Flat Octopus, project leader of Artist-Run Network Europe and coordinator of the European network of artist-run spaces AIM Network. When she is not painting, writing or reading she works as freelance curator, editor and cultural funding advisor. She holds a BA (Hons) in Art and Philosophy from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts and Design, Dundee; MA in Curating Art from Stockholm University; and studied Bellas Artes at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
Andreas Ribbung is a visual artist. He lives and works in Stockholm. He received his education at Konstfack and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Aside from his artistic practice he is a co-founder of the artist-run gallery Candyland, co-founder and creative director of Supermarket – Stockholm Independent Art Fair, network coordinator of Artists’ Initiatives Meetings Network, project leader of Artist-Run Network Europe, and a freelance project manager and advisor on public art.
