Stara Kapetanija Gallery | Anna Basa| PASSERS-BY

The series of sculptures, which together with the gallery space form a whole, is a review of the fact that galleries are becoming places that are increasingly observed in the aisle, and less visited. Inspired by the location, I recognized the potential of the figures I have been working on lately as a great opportunity for the gallery to become a mirror of the outside world.
The gallery, together with the exhibited works, allegorically presents the situation that can most often be seen if you are in it. Therefore, the view from the gallery is moved to the gallery itself on this occasion. Passers-by are present, this time in the space in which they become actors. It is these numerous passers-by who are the potential audience that often passes by and does not stop. A kind of promenade was moved to the gallery as captured shots of the artistic values of everyday life.

The gallery was founded in 1985. He is the founder of the Association of Fine and Applied Artists of Zemun with the aim of, as the only city-type gallery in Zemun and New Belgrade, continuously organizing during the calendar year independent, collective and authorial exhibitions of fine and applied artists of all generations in order to inform the audience and promote all current events. on the art scene of the city and the region.
