Room 9 | Milan Antic | Rhythm
My desire for experimentation and testing of boundaries of own creativity is enabling me to transform my thoughts into new shapes. By using method for painting based on the investigation of the relations between time, space and form, my piaintings are reflection of meditative attention and can be described as an aspiration towards contemplative states by creating of the world based on the patterns and rhythms taken from nature.
Milan Antić (Beograd, 1984) graduated from the Department for Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade 2010. He obtained a PhD in 2018 at the same faculty. His works were part of many group shows in the country and abroad. He participated in several international art workshops and residencies (Paris, München, Thessaloniki, Sofia, Belgrade).
He is displaying his artworks on solo exhibitions since 2010: Art space U10 (Belgrade), Serbian Cultural Centre (Paris), Art Centre UBSM (Belgrade), Haos gallery (Belgrade).
He is the author many art interventions in public space. Antić’s works are a part many collections in the country and abroad. He received several prizes for his work in the domain of visual arts. Since 2001, he has been working on the Faculty of Fine Arts as an assistant and from 2014, he is the assistant professor on the Department for Painting on the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.
