Room 36 | Aleksandar Jevtic | Escape Room

Escape Room series is a crying game for the lost city deserts. Every urban spot is tagged, labeled and sold. Wherever the money’s coming from it brings malignant growth.
The value of the city lies in its lost spaces, that we must defend and keep. They are the only room to escape. And Belgrade is loosing its deserts with every new promise of creative revolution, each one robbing us of places where we can face ourselves in peace and get real ideas, not creative products to sell and then buy a short break from the rat race.

Aleksandar Jevtic graduated illustration (Belgrade Faculty of Applied Arts) in 2002. He worked as a freelance illustrator for 8 years, then started his work as fine artist and educator.
He held workshops both for children interested in art and for sensitive social groups, working in hospitals, museums, art schools and primary schools. His main interest in art is drawing and his most important exhibitions were at Kolarac, Remont, Reflektor and X Vitamin.
