Sofija Pavkovi\u0107 (Zaje\u010dar, 2000) completed her undergraduate studies in painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. She got her master\u2019s degree at the same faculty as the top student of her generation in 2023, defending her master\u2019s thesis on the topic \u201cAwakening the Subconscious Mind: Dreams on Paper and Their Transformation into Spatial Works.\u201d She has had solo exhibitions in KC \u017diva, Windows gallery and Kvaka 22. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n

In the hushed moments between slumber and waking, I find my sanctuary. For years, you\u2019ve cradled my nocturnal wanderings, faithfully chronicling their evolution from fleeting wisps to vivid renditions.<\/p>\n
Through this journey, I\u2019ve discovered more than mere dreams. I\u2019ve unravelled recurring motifs, the whispers of a collective subconscious. It\u2019s a revelation, an echo of shared experiences, a question: do we dream together? Is it the pulse of a changing world, or perhaps a lifeline in the face of looming uncertainties?
\nMy diary, once a refuge for my solitary reveries, now seeks to extend its embrace.
\nHere, the air is light and clouded, reminiscent of the haven you provided, dear diary. It\u2019s an invitation, an intimate whisper, to explore the interconnected silk of our dreams.
\nI find myself at a crossroads, unable to contain you within these pages any longer. It\u2019s time to unfurl the sheets, to let the world in, so we can dream together. We\u2019ll find solace in the familiarity, and perhaps, a glimmer of the collective heartbeat that pulses beneath our restless existence.<\/p>\n

This concept takes the form of a diary entry for a reason – it is within these intimate
\npages that my dreams have found their most authentic voice. It\u2019s only fitting that this work, an extension of this personal odyssey, maintains the same diary-like intimacy. Through this format, I aim to invite visitors into the sanctum of shared dreaming, to blur the lines between creator and observer.
