He completed his basic and master&#8217;s studies in painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, class of prof. Mileta Prodanovi\u0107. As a scholarship holder of the Government of France, he spent a semester at the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Studio Guillaume Paris, 2019-2020. He is currently in his third year of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.<br \/>\nAmong his solo exhibitions &#8220;Second Chance or Woman with hair the color of mocha coffee&#8221; (2023), &#8220;House in the House in the House&#8230;&#8221; (2023), &#8220;Stain on the Wall&#8221; (2024) and &#8220;Elephant in the Room\u201c (2024). Several group exhibitions that stand out, such as &#8220;Private Value 2&#8221; (2019) organized by the Embassy of Switzerland, &#8220;Dreaming&#8221; (2021) as part of 58 of the October Salon and &#8220;Out of Box&#8221; (2022), Chemnitz, Germany. Aleksandar is the author of cultural projects such as &#8220;Roll the Dice&#8221; (2023) Vrnja\u010dka Banja &#8211; Belgrade, &#8220;Voyage, voyage&#8221; (2021), Zagreb &#8211; Belgrade and &#8220;Art in the Army&#8221; (2021) U\u017eice &#8211; Belgrade. His works are in private collections in Germany, France, Sweden. He lives and works in Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p>With the premise that today images of the things we want to be or possess are the only certain given, a series of images called \u201cImago\u201d is created. \u201cImago\u201d explores the power of discarded kitsch images from social media by focusing on the motif of the heart in the context of easel painting and comparing aesthetic preferences within the class system. The idea for the creation of the series arose through a direct experience when exchanging picture messages with family members, which did not have personal sentimentality but universal sentimental value. Seen from the perspective of the older generations of the lower working class, the images of the heart represent a sublimate of the most positive and gentle feelings that can be forwarded to the desired circle of people with a few steps on the phone or computer. Images of the heart are therefore also a kind of representation of utopia because their expansion in the digital world is proportional to the alienation and deprivation of the present man.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aleksandar Rakezi\u0107 was born in 1995 in Kraljevo.
